Nice video, but that hill looks short? Or is that the camera angle?

Super short hill, nothing like what we're used to racing on. Ours has a bunch of whoops and is about a half mile long. Just shows the different types of racing people are set up to do at the dunes. There is larger hills at Saint Anthony though as well, just didn't meet up at them. This one was closest to camp. We like to race through the ruff stuff and let it be a factor in the outcome as it should, it's an offroad vehicle with 20" of travel minimum and not a flat drag vehicle by original design. I'm not saying there is anything bad with building that type of machine either, just different strokes for different folks is all. And some of it is probably the type of terrain you have near you also, probably dictates the possible build direction.

It’s short. Thunder Mtn. Good for night races but Sand Outlaws race on Choke Cherry or Devils...

yep, Short and quick with 3 or 4 deep whoops before the hill. Like Trevor said, you need suspension, power and the right tire / clutching on this specific spot. There are def smoother and longer areas but they are way out past choke. Crapo / Thunder is just outside the BLM camp area so at night its easy to get to and has always been the hangout and drag hill because of this.

Thanks, all. I thought it was a bit short. Hard for the X3 to really get out there and rip in that distance, no?

It is, that's why that's more of a grudge match /play hill. Dune invasion will race up choke which has no run and straight up 400' but is about 6 miles from that hill. The sand rails race up the gut at devils which has a rolled start that goes down 100' and straight up a 500' pull and is another mile past choke at the far end of the dunes.

Dune invasion event is at the middle camp which is about 2 miles from the crapo / thunder hill so about 8 miles to choke. There is another camp about 4 miles past the middle campground and if you stay there and run corn or a sandrail you will usually have to store gas cans to get back from choke at the BLM campground day use area or in the back of your truck if you don't conserve fuel.
