Had a buddy ride in mine the other night and didn't shut my passenger door back good. Needless to say, the door flew open while on the trailer during the trip home. It was dark and I didn't notice. Long story short, the rivet sh!t the bed and strap ripped out. Door took a small lick too when it hyper extended^ lol. Just read the more recent post on these and immediately purchased a set. Kinda made sick bc I priced a new upper door panel, (2018 XRC), and it is $355. I can live with the small rash but I seen these and think they will work great! Plus, had I had them on here prior.....I feel they would have held strong instead of ripping out.

have you tried these on aftermarket doors yet? I have sdr and have sprung mine twice and wonder if these might protect them from over extending?
