Oooh dang!! I was beat up before about towing my $30,000 car on my 12' trailer awhile back bring it home from the dealer, and will probably catch it again. The 1st pic you guys may remember! I added 2ft to this trailer sense then to make it 14'.The 2nd pic is at 14' I have plenty of room and it fits facing forward also, but a 16' would make thing better.
Now I ready for all the "What The Hell" and head shaking!!! LolName: trailer.jpg

I have the Max and a 14' single axle trailer with a ramp. I tried loading it forward at first but would always feel it sway a little. I back mine up now. Plus when you get to the riding area its that much faster to get riding .

The fact you added the 2 feet to the front leaves the axles closer to the rear than a factory built 14 ft trailer. That is why its less sensitive to sway when pulled in forward. TimName: Screenshot 2019-05-13 13.54.33.png

I feel like this is a case by case scenario, however in my opinion, it's certainly better to have more weight on the tongue than the latter. Test drive it and see how she pulls.

    Add a $70k truck.
But a $35k sxs, add accessories,
Use a $20 trailer with bicycle tires.

Tongue weight would be my 1st concern (assuming your not pulling with a VW Bug).

I think you said it's a Max, on a 14' trailer ? Must barely fit. Dual axles w/ electric trail brakes mandatory (IMHO).

Anybody / most vehicles can "pull" a trailer. It's getting them stopped, safely. Dual axles will provide a much better stable ride. Over loading the tongue weight can be catastrophic.

    Hope that help.

I'm in the same bout 13.8 car on a 14 foot trailer. My buddy says my shit swings all over but we were going 80+. if I keep it at 65 no issue. I front load did try the back load but I was worried about the tongue weight. Think I might go with 16 aluminum trailer.
