using Johns 240 custom tune, with 1200 injectors that are needed for corn juice @300whp and is close to 80% DS
mostly because Boondocker does not have any 3 bar tunes yet

the 240 tune was plug and play, its no brainer
I am assuming you have had it on the dyno if your at 300whp ? What boost are you at ? Hows the lag compaired to factory.? Im dying to go this route but im a woods rider so lag is a serious concern.

Why didn’t you just go with Whalens big ish turbo kit? Whalen has been working on bigger turbo kit as well.

John Whalen's big wheel turbo kit makes good power
    just not enough for me...
all I will say now, at the boost the Dominator is now making the 3 bar is needed
even the boobdocker big turbo is really a small turbo
and the oem is a micro turbo
with the correct AR they both spool fast
Yes John has a bigger kit coming, I just cant wait...lol
I have not had the Dominator on Johns dyno yet, he has been very busy
and I do not need a dyno to tell me that its making good HP

    dont plan on any detonation
so not planing to change studs
    my target is only 300whp
and if it were higher I would probably change them
along with a few other things

Do you think the 5 psi waste gate is to unload the turbo some? I am set at 10 crack psi now which makes it blow out the BOV cruising but it really eliminates any lag when you floor it. Would you have chosen a different intercooler knowing what you know now? I assume that since the intercooler sits high the stock or agency duct on top cant be used ? What boost psi are you seeing now? I assume its dictated by the 240 tune.

Not that seat-of-the-pants measurements are meaningless but would really provide the comparison necessary for judging performance would be dyno charts that show boost level/rpm in addition to hp/rpm. At this point I do not believe we understand BRP's reason for using such a small turbo on the X3.
