    Back up Monitor and GPS?

I'm looking at adding a back up monitor, the rear mirror is horrid. I was thinking of buying a back up monitor like this:

..but I want to also have the functionality of a GPS in the same unit. Has anyone figured out how to have a back up camera and a GPS mounted in the device holder?

I've been working on this myself. I have a GoPro mounted on the front and back. Front is as a rock camera and rear is for backing up. These connect to my tablet via WiFi but I have had a few setbacks and am still working out the kinks. Problems so far are:
    1. Can only view one camera at a time - no real solution but not a big deal. Does take a while though
    2. Switching back and forth between GPS app and GoPro app is slow because it has to re-establish a WiFi connection each time.
    3. Video feed is not fluid enough for a true rock camera - I think this is because my tablet is old and doesn't have the processing power, its more fluid when viewed through my phone. Also my gopros are old (4th gen I think)
    4. Power, batteries dont last long - I put in a hard wire cable to my front camera but that caused the loss of the waterproof case. First trip out I hit a bit water hole and ruined my camera. The new ones are waterproof without any case but I don't know if that applies with a hard wire setup

That's where I'm at now. Not sure if I want to upgrade my tablet and camera or go with a standalone front and rear camera setup. Hope that helps

I used the UTV stereo backup camera that mounts above the license plate. Then connected to the WiFi broadcast thingy I linked to below. It connects to both my phone and my iPad. A lot of the time I just use my phone. I actually more use it for seeing the project behind my while driving than anything. However the emp rear view mirror is way better than the stock one.

While I don't have the video and GPS on same screen, I replaced the OEM mirror with the rear monitor. GPS is a standalone unit. So both are always on.
I installed a waterproof monitor, but it is a bit more expensive.

backup cameras are inexpensive these days ,i use a cheep amazon unit with night vision,4 1/2 inch screen with a toggle switch mounted to the roof.no worry of knocking it off or braking it rubbing trees .cost less than a tank of gas.

This is very much what I'm looking for but I'm an Android guy. I'll have to find something on the android platform.

I have Ride Command https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...bile.orvtrails on my Tablet but have yet to use it, downloaded it to take a look at the features. Has anyone tried this app on the trails?

Does the software for the backup camera come with the camera or is that a different app?

The camera is wifi and came with links to download the free software, IOS and android apps. I'm thinking of trying two cameras one front and one rear !

I will find the software links when I get home and post.
